Pretty rocks of the day: Gold and Fool's Gold (Pyrite)

There's gold in that there collection! Not a whole lot, but at last calculation enough to buy a new release DVD or paperback. Not AND, but OR. There's a lot more Fool's Gold though, but I think it's even more pretty.

Pretty rocks of the day: More fluorite

More fluorite, because I can. You've seen some of these before in various forms (here and here), but I'm getting better at taking pictures :-)

Have I mentioned that this was the project I had in mind when I bought this particular camera *mumblemumble* years ago? For those playing at home it's a 4 mega pixel Panasonic Lumix DMC-LZ1 and has a 6x optical zoom and a nifty macro function that's doing most of the work. Perhaps fortunately I seem to need daylight, so that's slowing my pace a little. Just a little.
