Pretty rock of the day: Thunder egg (quartz geode)

Meet one of my thunder egg halves. Being mere quartz these suffered a bit during my mineral snob phase, but it's been nice to rediscover the tiny worlds inside each one. Bit of a photographic challenge for which I was not up. It's all about the lighting, and presumably a few other things. Look at the rock.
