The beige diet is a strange thing. When I'm distracted with more important things, it seems impossibly limiting; the ingredient list short, the cooking options long and troublesome. However, when I'm paying attention and am able to put a little thought and planning into it, I become amazed at the range of possibilities and flavours available to me.

Free books to those that would like them, from BB's collection. Mostly war fiction from a variety of stupid conflicts (although it's tempting to label Death to the French as something other than stupid, but that would be Wrong). [livejournal.com profile] mikey_ob and [livejournal.com profile] _bigjobbies_ I was thinking of you at the beginning of the breakup, but the hundreds of proper war history books have already gone to the buffs.

[livejournal.com profile] zebra363, Sharpe alert :-)

Condition: pre-loved paperback unless otherwise specified. Some quite well loved, but all are whole.

Other condition: I won't ship them, but I'm sure Arrangements can be made to pass them around, or to make an exchange on a misty bridge in Berlin at 3:00AM. As you do. Actually, arrangements for this could be made relatively easily, because my sister (currently London-Based Sister) lived in Berlin for years and has friends there. She was there during the fall of The Wall, so we have a verified piece of it. She was also there for Chernobyl, and so heard about contaminated lettuce being sold in East Berlin. She's a very handy international network node. And I love her lots.

But I digress.

Free books. Comment if you care. )
