In the BG tradition of film timelag, we finally got around to watching Shrek III this evening. Much as I'd enjoyed the first two I was sufficiently influenced by the lukewarm reviews of III to be in no hurry. In our household, "no hurry" can take several years.
So, going in with low expectations I was pleasantly surprised. The technology's gone up another notch, and the story wasn't quite as dire as I'd been led to expect. It's no masterpiece, but there were enough fun set pieces to keep me occupied.
