I have a little book in which I write every damn thing I eat. Lunch today was an experiment for which I feel obliged to record the entire ingredients list of the two commercial packet products I ate for lunch, and I can't be bothered writing it all by hand.

The short version is 200g of Latina Fresh Ricotta and Spinach Agnolotti and about 80-100g of San Remo Deli Fresh. Fresh Pasta Sauce, Sundried Tomato and Red Wine. One buttered cape seed roll.

All I could taste was the salt, so it wasn't quite the fun experience I'd hoped for, but I want to get an idea of how much of an impact a medium-bad meal would have on me. Something I'd expect to be fed on a plane perhaps, or the best of a bad bunch at a foodhall that shockingly did not supply raw celery.

Right, 4 1/2 hours approx after The Ordinary Food Experiment (or Le Mange Experiment d'Ordinaire*). A bit of mild tummy cramping within the hour and right now a bit of a sinus pressure headache. Ears were also ringing a bit but have settled. Perhaps akin to a single drink of alcohol.

For some reason I craved celery (frankly the commercial pasta and sauce made me feel unclean) but I'd like to think it was my body asking nicely for an anti-inflammatory. I've just had a couple of sticks and feel possibly a teensy placeboey bit better, but still quite stuffy.

Tomorrow will tell.

EDIT: 5 1/2 hours in. I has an headache. Slightly swollen throat. Tickly cough.
EDIT2: 6 hours in. Ribs sore, breathing feels restricted. Head a bit fuzzy.
EDIT3: nearly 9 hours in. head OKish, but I had no appetite for dinner.
EDIT4: Now I've tried to move around a bit, the tummy is definitely tight and bloated.

I should also note that I was exposed to cigarette smoke for nearly an hour before lunch at BB's place.

But by god I hate Barry Mckenzie.

So they stopped making the feature tiles I used in my bathroom, but I've found a mosaic strip of mixed marbles and granites that is even nicer, and gives a touch of real stone to the kitchen, given that I couldn't use stone on the benchtop.
