That was the week that was

Not enough to justify daily postings, for Tuesday-Friday were spent seething helplessly at home whilst my mortgage giggled quietly to itself.

I did, however, complete Market Forces by Richard Morgan, Swancon 2009's GoH. I probably wouldn't have bothered reading it again if I wasn't going to meet him next year, for as mentioned previously it was retrieved from my trade pile.

The important things in life

I'm a bit more mobile today so I thought I'd go visit BB this afternoon. Unfortunately for us both, there's an Eagles v Dockers match on at Subi oval, so all the hospital visitors' parking will be full and I won't be able to get near him.

Somehow that just doesn't seem right.

Spotted

On the freeway through the rain, and presumably headed to a wedding, a stretch version of a reproduction vintage car. Maybe a 1930's Rolls Royce.

The best bit? The licence plate: UNIQUE 02
