Minor hiccough on the start to the day, when I remained stubbornly under the influence of the allergy pill I took last night to counter the effects of yesterday's soy sauce. I had the choice between going in to the office for the afternoon and maybe doing a swim after, or definitely doing my swim. Since I needed to do that swim before tomorrow night, and ideally today, the office lost out.

Mix chunks of chicken breast with some chopped raw cashews and spring onion. Pan fry chicken mix in butter. Serve over a based of shredded cabbage with some raw spring onion and cashews for crunch.

This would be completely failsafe if my shredded cabbage wasn't a mix of red and green with a bit of carrot, but the quantities were small so it wasn't a big deviance. Not that I'm aiming quite that high, so I'm quite proud of tonight's effort.

There's a meme going about (via [livejournal.com profile] mynxii et al) that calls for readers to write compliments about a person in their lj, so they can look back on them and remember that they are appreciated, loved, or even noticed by the world. I'm not currently backwards in coming forward, so here it is:

Compliments stored against a rainy day
One little compliment can make you feel amazing. So give me a compliment, anything in the entire world, even that my shoelaces are pretty. Put this in your journal. And once you get some comments, put that entry in a memory or tag and when you are feeling down, just go to that entry and this will remind how great you are.

I've done this before. It helps. )

BTW feel free to make it amusingly backhanded if you wish. e.g. "I hardly notice that mole between your eyes any more. Almost never."
