Like mother like daughter
Sep. 20th, 2007 05:14 pmHave just returned from collecting Cally from the vet. Blood and wee test results not yet in, but the x-rays show she has osteroarthritis in the base of her spine. Have to wait and see if her kidney and liver functions are ok enough then start anti-inflammatories.
Hopefully she'll have better luck with them than I - I've not yet found one that doesn't make me nauseous, and the anti-nausea meds give me muscle spasms...
Oh, BTW that will be $600 *cough*
EDIT: Cat News Update Cat News Update Cat News Update Cat News Update
After several laps of honour, some intensive get-that-vet-smell-off-me washing, a great deal of is-that-legal-in-this-state purring, marching on the spot and smearing, Cally has indicated that she is Glad To Be Home.
Princess refuses to comment but may release a statement later via her publicist.
Blood and wee tests are in and there's no sign of additional problems. Also like her mother - the engine's OK, but the chassis is a bit rusty and dented. Have to continue the antibiotics and tomorrow will pick up the anti-inflammatory liquid to start her on.
