Propping up a dodgy memory

I agree that lj is a wonderful way to try and keep up when alternatives are too hard - I find that it gives me a sense of community within my energy levels and other commitments. I'm managing to keep in touch with many more people this way, although I often find myself thinking 'really must ring x, talk with them, rather than commenting', and then when I forget, and don't do either, I feel a bit bad about not making any contact at all.
