Your art experience reminds me of the time Brighton police phoned me at work - "we need you to check some art we found in dodgy guy's house, we think it's valuable because it looks familiar". 4 hours later (train delays...again...) I am looking at a 1m x 1m knock off of the mona lisa. Me- "Sorry, it's a copy". Nice policeman "Are you sure?". Me "Yes the original is in the Louvre." Nice policeman "Better check if it has been reported stolen." Me "The original is much smaller but thanks for double checking with us".
