And in other news...
Have run out of blog spoons for now but on Sunday enjoyed a wonderful visit from ex-minion Dunja (she of the sadly missed picnic), and today (Monday) went to my favourite annual art event Sculpture by the Sea. Also had lunch for the first time at the Indiana Tea House (or whatever it's called these days.)
So. Much. To. Say... But at least the cat news is up to date.
On Thursday I'm getting my hair dyed purple and green :-)
Some time in the next two days I need to do hydrotherapy, and I've a sick sister to visit.
Have been running myself to the edge of exhaustion multiple times this last week, so yay? My candle is spherical and I'm burning it all over its surface area.

Unscheduled post
This is a frivolous post. I have not assigned spoons for this, nor is it anywhere in my various lists of priorities. My lists of priority tasks are long; my spoons are short. I can't really afford this. But sometimes you just have to kick over the traces and do whatever you damn want to. So I'm going to ramble for a bit.

Dear Universe,
You've been shovelling some particularly unpleasant major life-and-death shit in the direction of some friends of mine, and I must say it's making me more than a little cross. I know from experience that asking you to leave off with the big bad things is a waste of time, and not much can deter you from your little games. However, I have a proposal: whatever you had planned for my friend, lay off her and kick it to me. Double it if you like, but leave her the hell alone.

Calling the RSPCA. Or maybe the RAC. One of those.
Delighted though I would be to embroider a tale of adventure and excitement of the events of this evening, I am stuffed (yet grateful) after waiting 2 hours for the RAC to come rescue The Catmobile. Home now. The problem? A little bit of rubber fell off a clutch switch. Car she no go. Home now, and cursing the bad mobile reception that follows everywhere I go and which forbade me from live Tweeting the whole experience to fill in time and loneliness.

Life *sigh*
Last Thursday I dropped off a dress at the local dressmaker's to repair a split seam. I hasten to note that it was not a load-bearing seam, but the interface between two fabrics of dissimilar tensile strengths. Said breech occurred sometime during either its first wash or its first wearing, but being an inexpensive Internet purchase it was just not worth the bother of sending it back.

Things happened today. It was a better day than yesterday. Pain still pretty bad, but somewhere in the afternoon I suddenly felt more hopeful about life, which helps me to cope with the pain, so it's the best order of events.
