So very special
I got to work today! Yay! Only for a wobbly 1 1/2 hours but that's a big improvement over nothing. Back to working on zombies, and soon I'll get to document notification e-mail templates. Got home in one piece, rested up, changed, then went to the stables. Yay! So, what magical horse whispery insight did I gain today?

I had two fixed appointments for today: tax at H&R block at 10:30 that rendered me unable to attend a zoo gathering that morning, and my regularly scheduled massage at 4:30pm. In between I thought I'd potter about the house and garden, there being no shortage of things to do.

Quick medical update
It's obvious that I've had a few extra spoons the last couple of days (YAY!), but I would also like to record that I suddenly had an appetite this evening. Obviously a raging hunger can be detrimental to the wardrobe, but at the moment I associate appetite with health so it felt really good. I managed to push through without buying cheesecake :-)
Had an ever-so-gentle lymph-shifting massage this afternoon. No twitches, spasms or acrobatics (YAY!), although N asked me if I could feel vibration in a few spots. Looks like my skin can crawl without me. It was much more relaxing than usual because I didn't have to keep fighting the urge to twitch prematurely. Have been drinking (H2O) all evening but am feeling the ache of crap moving around in my system plus the expected headache. That's what you're *supposed* to feel after a lymph-shift so that's fine. I'm sure I'll feel better later. I'm always sure I'll feel better later ;-)

I had my regular monthy massage today with N, and as always was really looking forward to it, with the exception of having to break the news about BB. I don't have to do this very often, so I haven't had as much practice as others.

Battling Metaphors
After the horror of missing my massaqge appointment last night I called the practice this morning at 8:55 am, cleverly pitching for a rare moment between clients so I could catch a human. Not only was I successful there, but there was an opening at 10:15! Thank heavens for the collapse of the economy, or whatever was responsible for the unheard-of scheduling opportunity.

Just returned from my first massage post-V, i.e. starting all over with N.
Hmmmmmm.
First times are rarely spectacular, but I was really REALLY looking forward to and needing this massage. She didn't do anything wrong per se, but quite sensibly given my medical history started conservatively. It just wasn't right :-(
Oh well, time will tell.
