Great Career Opportunity. Or not.

I was *nearly* sent to a conference at the company's expense ("Would you like to go? Go look up the details"), until the company found out what the expense was likely to be ("Ah. No.")

An SAP-shaped hole in your resume is no bad thing. In fact, surrounding it with encounters with various competitors, in order to highlight the presence of the hole, can be downright beneficial!

Remember, this is the company that many commentators believe specialises in failed implementations as a business model.

All this is IMHO, of course. Just don't ask me about MFG/PRO or Oracle Financials. :-/

I should add that these holes are significant only because of the large numbers of advertised jobs I *appear* to be unqualified for.
