It's best not to get too attached

Shopping for toys at Sector 7 isn't all about satisfying the pathetic whims of lost childhood by people old enough to know better. Oh no, sometimes we buy toys for the children cats. The best cat toys are--rather unfortunately for the toys themselves--doomed. To illustrate:

You may note that these mice are made from real fur and are undyed. Artificial substitutes in bright colours are indeed available, but since the cats eat these toys, I'd rather they be constructed of materials for which the feline digestive system is equipped to manage. There are fluffier (and naturally much easier to acquire) versions of the same thing but they're just not as popular as this model, which feels nice and meaty.

Actually this post-play mouse is quite unusual: the tail is generally the first part to go.

They get their live action from giant cockroaches and the odd skink that comes into the house.

She's a self-healing cat toy that keeps on being bouncy and playful, no matter how much they chew and scratch her...

I like this; I might put it in my profile :-)
