Tonight courtesy of legal free-to-air broadcast television (remember that, people?) it was my pleasure to watch the NewWho episode 'Silence in the Library'. Wow, so good. I'm not sure I'll be able to restrain myself from hunting down spoilers to see what happens to Donna before next week. And I am normally *very* good at that particular flavour of restraint.

Silence in the Library was so awesomely creepy, and I loved River Song. Keep us updated on what you think of the second part!

I missed the opening credits, but it was sufficiently scary that I knew after only a few minutes that it was a Stephen Moffat script.

He seems to have a Thing for repetition ('Are you my mummy?' 'Don't blink!' 'Hey, who turned out the lights?') and it totally works on me. That said, Blink was my favourite episode of possibly any TV show I can think of, and it was the least scary of his.

He also has a Thing for the light and the dark. Angels, skeletons, shadows, darkness. Such simple themes but he does so much with them.
