Dear channel 7 commentary team
If an international dressage horse "looks like Pepe Le Peu" during an extended trot, that's a *bad thing*.
And it didn't, it was a nice extended trot. Nor did it look "like a kangaroo" at any point. Nor is there any point in watching the rider's hands - if you can see them doing anything , that's a *bad thing*.
And to the sailing fans out there, I've gone through hours and hours of footage and have not seen a single hint of sail, sorry. Lots of hockey, swimming, and basketball, medium amounts of gymnastics, and rather a lot of weightlifting. I quite like the weightlifting; it has many concentrated moments of drama. Not good to watch just before going to sleep, however. Must remember to stretch first or I'll pull something.

However, tonight's horse did. No wonder he was acting up a bit, I would too in that situation.

yes extended trot should be long, and upward moving not bouncey.. i think he was talking bout the passage but was a bit late and transitions had already occured.
i hate that i am up till 11:56pm to watch one test though... so tired!!!!

I believe that was on SBS's superior coverage of all things non swimming
