Class of '87 20 year reunion report

Well.

I think dot points are the only way to approach this.

* Far too many of the women were thin and beautiful :-(

* Most of the boys had let themselves go :-)

* An awful lot of them seemed to smoke.

* There was a great deal of drinking.

* Our one famous classmate Justin Langer did turn up.

* Everyone I spoke to except one had multiple children. Almost everyone was married (I didn't find any unmarried parents). These Catholics, breed like rats.

* Quite a few of the kids went to the same schools, and some had made friends only to discover afterwards that their mothers had been friends.

* Some had become teachers and were teaching their former classmates' children.

* I quickly got the conversation opener down to "Married? Children? Career? Mortgage?" with a side order of "Isn't this weird?" and "Everyone looks the same".

* Did meet the ex. 'Twas fortunately not nearly as awkward as I feared it might be, but I'm in no hurry to repeat the experience.

* Found an old friend who's now a medical physics/radiology specialist and might even be involved in BB's treatment.

* Of the people I spoke to, I've been married the longest. Most seemed to average 8-10 years. We've clocked up 14.

* I found the whole exercise quite pointless and will happily return to the arms of the people I choose to be with. Love you flist!
