My giant orthopedic shoes make an impressively loud clumping sound when I walk across tiles.

Sounds *exactly* like a troop of Cybermen :-)

I did watch the video. If I'd been walking on my toes in those things I would have been shortly lying on my arse.

I promise you (and I wish I had before and after shots of my feet to prove it) I am heel striking! I started with *really* tight achillies' tendons so my "vastly improved" is not even vaguely normal yet, but it is getting there.

Part of the sound FX is the rubbery squelch of the collapsing heel bit.

I like the thought that the corridor you are walking in has suddenly been invaded. Think how much cooler it would be if you walked around in those shoes making the sound effects of said Cybermen! :)

I've never heard this noise but...my ears aren't such fine instruments as yours. In fact, I think I'm a little deaf.

Well, you know my relationship with sound about as well as anyone these days.

BTW I've not been ignoring you - I just got sick of writing about my broken bits in such detail. Actually your chapter one hit a lot of nerves, if you'll pardon the pun!
