Pretty rocks of the day: Tiger iron and ???

Tiger iron is lovely stuff in either small or large doses. Small doses tend to be less expensive.







I've also photographed a lovely tumbled stone that appears to be a composite of the same stuff as in in tiger iron: tiger eye (iron), haematite, jasper and quartz. This is only about 2cm across.



I love these closeups.



They remind me of Lucy Ridsdale's artwork.
