I love it when this happens
I've been living too much in the last couple of days to blog about it properly.
Last night Carrie Fisher (!).
Tonight ACS meeting (allegedly) about mega-trends in application development, about which I have a surprising number of opinions.
Work on both days, of a very satisfactory nature. Meaty project management stuff without having to personally sweat the details. I'll just go right ahead and call that the definition of power. MUAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Husband got bits sliced off him yesterday. Path results next Monday.
Yesterday a colleague was carted off in an ambulance with chest pains. He was back today.
Also yesterday I discovered the hard way that the Ladies bathroom on my floor at work had been redesignated as a Men's bathroom. This change was not heralded by anything so obvious as e-mail, signage, or verbal communication. I did find out by getting hit by a flying door wielded by a male workmate with Kramer-like entry style (see mystery bruise explained, below), who was thus mortified on many levels. I have a workplace injury caused by insufficient signage. I'm not sure why that amuses me, but it does. Could be something to do with working in the field of industrial safety.
Unfortunately today had some very bad nerve pain and more muscle tremors so I'm facing the prospect of another adjustment to the meds and associated fun times.
I have a bruise on the inside of the first joint of the little finger on my right hand. I have no idea what caused it. (Ed: now I've written about the work toilet story I know where it came from. Door handle flicked me hard enough to leave its mark. See, blogging is your forensic friend).
Not much in the way of written fiction, but it's burbling away in the back of my head. Might throw in something about the provision of suitable facilities in a multi-species office environment.
