I Can't Believe It's Not Worldcon

Do you know what Worldcon is? Are you in Perth and not going? Are you a friend of mine or person with whom I might feel some sympathy because you're not going? Are you disappointed, poor, disorganised, pregnant, ill, over-committed, not that committed to fandom, or generally afraid of the state of Victoria? Does the idea of thousands of fen in one place make you want to hyperventilate*?

Then you are welcome to Sector 7 for a small, non-partylike, non-connish, ever-so-civilized, oh-my-god-there-are-people-in-my-house-I-can't-breathe gathering at the time of your choosing between after lunch-ish and late afternoon-ish on Saturday 4th and/or Sunday 5th September 2010. Yes, that's two separate sessions. Pop in and say hi. Possibly say "When was the last time you dusted?". Preferably say "I think your rocks are cool." Potentially say "That's a hell of a lot of obscure movies."

I'd like to call it StephCon1, but that would be oversell, but nevertheless fun to say. That said, it's more than a little tempting** to draw up an actual programme.

BYO Everything.

Some form of RSVP would be handy. Please distrubute this invitation with discretion.

(*) If it makes you want to throw up I might ask you to stay outside, just in case.

(**) Must. Not. Over. Organise.

I had good intentions of popping by today, but have been hit with a wave of fatigue :( *might* be able to come by tomorrow, but we have a stack of family stuff on, and I might be out of spoons afterwards.

Failing that, would you been on meeting for a coffee sometime? I live a suburb away from you too, on a random note :)

I would love to see you whenever spoons permit. I should declare that I'm not very good at planning things like weekday coffees ahead of time because I have to give my best spoons to work. I'm sure you understand the problem! Spontenaity appears to be the key, and we're not far apart so that might just work.
