I only ever had one attempt at installing Linux on an old computer. It never worked. But it was around the time when instructions appeared on the internet, about how to install Linux on a dead badger - possibly some kind of piss-take about people who try to install Linux on everything in the whole world. The dead-badger thing me laugh, around the time when I gave up on my failed Linux install.
