Kitten!

This is a Birman kitten displaying both the tenacity and impossibly cute fierceness of the breed. And, sadly, the tendency of the Pumpkin family to ram hard objects with one's head. Over and over. And over.

And over.

I saw a seagull responding very similarly to a giant silver cone at Sculpture By the Sea one year.

Adorable and disturbingly thick - was it eyeing off its tail as a potential target for a moment there?

"Adorable and disturbingly thick" seems to sum up the breed in general.

One's own tail is always a valid target of opportunity.

That's why my fluffy one is called Dervish; as a one-handful kitten she once spent a good forty minutes spinning on the spot, trying to eat her own tail.
