It's not Lindt, but...

I haven't eaten carob in many many years, but since chocolate is off the menu and carob is allowed, I bought some buttons to try. Rather to my surprise it tasted vaguely chocolaty. Like cheap, industrial, grainy, floury, aged, heat damaged, over-sweetened American chocolate.

All right!

There are a mob in Carmel who make really nice carob bars (organic, dairy free, sugar free, vegan, gluten free...). Not sure what your restrictions are at present, but looking at the ones I have in the cupboard, I've just discovered that they have organic cocoa butter in them, which you presumably can't have. *sigh* and I was eating them as a substitute as well. Otherwise, I would offer to share them with you at swancon

Thanks for the thought, but yes, cocoa (and so presumably cocoa butter) is high in amines.
