I second the idea of Fudge dye, because it's nicely temporary and will come out within a few washes.
There is always the Manic Panic and Special Effects brands, but they're far more permanent. Unless that's what you want. In which case the easiest way to obtain them is to pop into Wildilocks on Hay St in Perth - next door to Boffins bookshop - and buy yourself a bottle.:)
I use Special Effects from Wildilocks, as already mentioned above.
I find that Fudge/Special Effects vary wildly in their ability to endure for a length of time. Leaving the dye in for an hour guarantees around two weeks of relative shiny-ness, depending on how often you shampoo. Leaving it in for longer works, though you might need to re-wet it.
And if you only want it for a week or a few days leave it in for maybe 30-45 minutes. Although I base this on my own hair, and you'll doubtless have a slightly different experience. Let me know if you need any hair-dying help!

However, since it was way back then, I'm not sure if it's still workable advice!

Stephbg - would you like it?
Mind you, unless your hair is very light, you will need to bleach it first. Also, if you have long hair, you will need to get another tube.
