In my fishy experience, even fish that are promised not to be hostile to other forms of life will sooner or later do Something Wrong. The big goldfish might not have actually EATEN the giant snails (though they MIGHT have), but if not, they nudged them often enough to worry them to death. And the four lovely harmless Tandanus Catfish (ha!) got big and aggressive and kept BUMPING the goldfishies, pretending it was an accident, then started LITERALLY tearing strips off the side of the only goldfish in the pond brave enough not to run. And I mean literally. It was horrible. Eventually I found homes for the brutal catfish and nursed poor old Big White back to health.

I'm fairly sure that our goldfish would have nudged frogs often enough to annoy them. And perch are fairly predatory, aren't they?

Well done on the kitty litter.
