Rock bloopers of the day

Shiny things are difficult to photograph, even in daylight. Sometimes the polished (or even natural) surfaces are so reflective that I get the odd disturbing result that's not obvious until I see them on the laptop screen. Like these:



At first it was just creepy fingers:



Then my face appeared:



It's a miracle? At least you know that I definitely took this one myself, although the blur might have given it away.

This is my black quartz and you'll be seeing more of it once I get myself organised.



I could almost allow a forensic identification or at least match of my camera from this. Maybe not what I had for breakfast, but who knows, it just might be incriminating enough to lead to a bigger and better jail term.


On a side note this is the rock that always comes to mind when I remember one of the dumbest lines from car advertising: In Nature, there's no such thing as a straight line. Oh rilly?
