Brand new suckage

Had a carpark bingle leaving Charlie's this afternoon.

God I hate that carpark. I was blinded by the sun. As low speed an impact as it's possible to have - I'd travelled 3-4m at normal carpark acceleration from a standing start, in no particular hurry because I had *looked* and there was no-one coming. He said he was in a hurry, and there are plenty of curves and narrow stupid blind twisty bits. The other guy's airbags didn't deploy (I don't have them), but my bumper found his wheel so there might be mechanical surprises later. I fear the insurance implications, given Husband's accident earlier this year in a car also owned by me :-(

Probably no injuries. Once home I felt the urge to ice the corner of my shoulder/neck, but not in any particularly worrisome way.

My victim was terribly nice in a "these things happen" kind of way.

I am unimpressed, universe. Y'hear?

More coherent version of events to follow.

Was it his fault though? Sorry about the suckiness of life for you at the moment.

I was turning right into a T intersection. He had right of way. AFAIK that automatically makes it my fault.

While it was technically my fault, I've been thinking about it *a lot* and there was nothing I could or would have done differently. It was a blind spot and a case of wrong place wrong time. It happens.

I guess that makes me unrepentant. I accept responsibility but not neccesarily blame.
